Stretching a mile below the rugged cliffs on the Presidio’s western shoreline, Baker Beach’s spectacular outside-the-Gate views of the Bridge and the Marin Headlands are unsurpassed. The remains of the original Battery Chamerlin are still there and offer additional photo options at this location. Access is easy with a large parking lot at beach level. This is one of my favorite locations due to its iconic views and accesibility. It can be windy, misty, and cold many days so be prepared with layers of clothing.
